Nestled in the heart of North Texas, Abby Simmons proudly presents a one-of-a-kind home that embodies personal dedication and creativity.

The house, designed from the esteemed “Nicolas Lee 888-7” plan, offers a spacious layout encompassing 4 bedrooms and 3 baths within its 2,300 square feet.

Still in the finishing touches stage, Abby and her husband, Caleb, have meticulously attended to every detail.

Caleb’s craftsmanship shines throughout the home, from sealing the floors to painting the bedrooms, bathrooms, doors, and trim.

He also built the stair skirt and railing, showcasing their hands-on approach to creating a space that feels like home.

With a charming 500-square-foot loft and an additional room above the garage, this home is a testament to their shared vision and dedication.

Step inside and experience a unique blend of architectural brilliance and personal touch, making this home a true labor of love for the Simmons family.

They also added a garage attached via a breezeway.

The love for their home is reflected in every detail, from the carefully planned floor layout to the mesmerizing sunset views and the peaceful presence of black Angus cows that graze nearby.

This home is a sanctuary where meticulous design meets the tranquility of nature, making every moment spent here truly special.

Living Area

In the carefully curated living area, the essence of warmth and spaciousness intertwines seamlessly.

Towering 6-foot windows invite natural light, illuminating the 26 by 26-foot living space.

Yet, the openness doesn’t stop there; the entire area, extending 38 feet from the kitchen to the front of the house, creates an expansive and inviting atmosphere.

The floors, finished with 3 coats of “Behr Wet Look Concrete Sealer”, shine with a subtle luster, enhancing the room’s overall appeal.

To ensure safety, plush rugs are strategically placed, not only adding comfort but also protecting their little ones from the concrete floor beneath.

A focal point of this room is the red brick fireplace, adorned with a natural wood mantle, emanating a cozy ambiance.

Kitchen

In the Simmons’ kitchen, functionality meets elegance in every detail.

The centerpiece is a sprawling 9.5-foot island, a hub of culinary creativity and family gatherings.

Floating shelves will be installed on the right above the coffee maker to provide a chic and practical display area, perfect for showcasing beloved cookbooks or decorative pieces.

The cabinets, crafted from Knotty Alder wood and stained with the rich hue of weathered oak by Minwax, exude a rustic charm, adding depth and warmth to the space.

The backsplash, adorned with Kingston Blue tiles by Ivy Hill Tile, infuses a touch of contemporary allure, contrasting beautifully with the natural tones of the cabinets.

Bathroom

This home has 3 bathrooms, and features from the master bath are pictured here.

This master bathroom is not just a functional space; it’s a sanctuary of indulgence, where every element is carefully curated to create a spa-like atmosphere.

The floor by the vanity is adorned with a meticulously chosen rug from Anthropologie, adding a touch of elegance and comfort underfoot.

The shower, a true focal point, boasts striking black tiles crafted from “Rainforest High Polish Pebble Stone”, juxtaposed with pristine white grout, creating a captivating visual contrast.

Delicate gold accents in the shower add a hint of opulence, elevating the overall aesthetic.

The shower experience is enhanced by a high-quality Delta shower head from Home Depot, combining functionality and style seamlessly.

Loft

This loft, perched above the kitchen, embodies a blend of practicality, creativity, and safety, making it a versatile and secure area within the home.

Departing from the original plans, they opted for stairs instead of a ladder, enhancing accessibility and ease of use.

Abby’s husband took the initiative to construct custom railings for the loft, not just functional but also a stylish addition to the space.

Plexiglass covering will be added to ensure the safety of the space, especially around the “tempting to climb” horizontal wires, providing peace of mind for their kids.
