Christina self-contracted the project, ensuring every aspect was curated to perfection.

The exterior of Christina’s barndominium is adorned with sleek black gutters, emphasizing the clean lines of the design.

The charcoal siding lends a modern and sophisticated feel, while the galvalume roof adds durability and a touch of industrial charm.

Accentuating the exterior features, black trim elegantly outlines the doors and windows, creating a striking contrast against the charcoal backdrop.

The spacious 10′ x 26′ front porch exudes warmth, with its posts elegantly stained in a blend of golden oak and American walnut, offering a rustic touch to the facade.

Connected seamlessly to the main structure is an attached carport, providing convenient covered parking and adding to the functionality of the space.

Living Area

The living area boasts a generous 26′ x 24′ space, with walls painted in the serene hue of Behr Silver Drop.

Natural light floods the room through expansive windows measuring 48″ x 72″ as well as through the windowed door.

A comfortable sectional couch beckons, inviting residents and guests alike to unwind and enjoy the ambiance.

The room features a vaulted ceiling, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and openness.

Recessed lighting overhead casts a warm glow, creating a cozy atmosphere, while a ceiling fan ensures a comfortable climate year-round.

The flooring throughout the home is crafted from durable cement, polished to perfection using Zep sealer and polish and finished with a power trowel technique, adding a touch of industrial chic to the interior.

A focal point of the living area is the fireplace, encased in Pine Hall brick by Shadow Creek.

The wooden mantle above the fireplace provides a rustic accent, and a strategically positioned TV offers entertainment without disrupting the room’s harmony.

In the kitchen functionality meets elegance with a ceiling height of 9 feet that enhances the sense of openness.

The kitchen features pristine white cabinetry, carefully designed with pull-out drawers at the bottom for convenient storage solutions.

The focal point of the kitchen is the expansive island, measuring 9′ x 5′.

The island boasts circular popup outlets on the countertop, ensuring seamless access to power for various kitchen appliances.

Additionally, it features a built-in wine fridge and comfortably seats four, making it a perfect spot for casual dining or entertaining guests.

A corner pantry provides ample storage for dry goods and pantry essentials, keeping the kitchen organized and clutter-free.

The kitchen layout includes space for an adjacent dining table, allowing for family meals and gatherings.

Stainless steel appliances add a touch of modernity to the space, ensuring both style and functionality.

Above the kitchen, there’s attic space, offering additional storage options.

The kitchen’s countertops are adorned with elegant Bianca Calacatta quartz, sourced from Home Depot, adding a touch of sophistication to the culinary space.

A standout feature is the sink window, measuring 4′ x 3′, which floods the area with natural light and offers a picturesque view while doing the dishes.

Christina’s pantry, nestled in the corner of the kitchen, is a well-organized space measuring 5′ x 5′.

The pantry’s design maximizes every inch, featuring sturdy shelves crafted from stained wooden boards.

These wide and robust shelves provide ample storage for pantry items, ensuring everything is neatly arranged and easily accessible.

Dining Area

In the dining area of this home, the table is positioned near the sliding doors that lead to the outside.

The table itself was a budget-friendly find, sourced from Facebook Marketplace, while the chairs were acquired from Amazon.

A rustic chandelier serves as an eye-catching focal point in this space, adding a touch of character and charm to the dining area.

Each bedroom reflects a unique style, creating a cozy haven tailored to the occupants’ preferences.

The master bedroom, measuring 17′ x 14′, boasts a tray ceiling with a height of 9 feet, which extends to 10 feet in the tray.

Positioned between two narrow, tall windows (26″ x 72″), a budget-friendly bedroom set from Facebook Marketplace takes center stage.

The room is adorned with a rug also sourced from Facebook Marketplace.

The tray ceiling, crafted from yellow pine and stained in Early American and weathered oak tones, not only adds visual interest but also conceals the internal ductwork.

A ceiling fan completes the room, providing both functionality and style.

The second bedroom, spanning 15′ x 12′, accommodates a queen-sized bed and features similar windows.

It is equipped with a ceiling fan, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere.

In the nursery, the walls are painted in Behr’s soothing shade “In The Moment.”

A textured 8′ x 10′ throw carpet adds warmth and comfort to the space.

A gentle breeze is provided by the ceiling fan, creating a serene ambiance for the little one.

In Christina’s home, the bathrooms are thoughtfully designed for both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The master bathroom, measuring 13′ x 10′, exudes luxury and relaxation.

The shower, with dimensions of 7′ x 4′, is fully tiled and includes a convenient bench and a built-in shelf.

Glass doors will soon adorn the shower, enhancing its elegance, while keeping water off of the floor.

A striking wood accent on the wall surrounds the soaker tub, adding a touch of natural warmth.

The dual sink vanity provides ample space for daily routines, combining practicality with sophistication.

The second bathroom offers a full and functional space.

The shower/tub area is tastefully tiled, ensuring a pleasant bathing experience.

A window placed strategically above the toilet brings in natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.

The jack and jill dual vanity, positioned between the second and third bedrooms, is a harmonious blend of style and utility.

It comprises three separate cabinets skillfully integrated to maximize storage and organization.

The half bathroom boasts distinctive character with a vessel sink as its focal point.

Natural light filters in through the window, illuminating the space with a gentle glow.

The color palette, featuring shades of green and brown, adds a touch of earthy elegance, creating a charming and welcoming ambiance.

Laundry/Mud Room

A utility sink, placed conveniently next to the laundry machines, provides a dedicated space for handwashing and other household tasks.

An exit door, complete with a window, not only adds natural light to the room but also offers easy access to the outdoors.

Additionally, a white standalone storage cabinet enhances the room’s organization, providing a designated spot for various cleaning supplies, ensuring a clutter-free and functional area for everyday chores.

Floor Plans

Drawing on her creativity and ideas, Christina sketched out the initial layout.

To transform her concepts into reality, these preliminary plans were then taken to a local architect.

Here, they were meticulously refined and professionally drawn up, ensuring that every detail of the home was captured accurately.

This collaborative effort between Christina’s creativity and the architect’s expertise resulted in a well-thought-out, functional, and aesthetically pleasing home, embodying the family’s unique style and preferences.
