Nestled within a tale of determination and family bonds, this charming 4-bedroom, 2-bath home stands as a testament to the relentless efforts of its owners.
Originally, plans were set in motion to restore an old house, but the realization of its deteriorating state prompted a bold decision to embark on a journey of building anew.
Evenings and weekends became dedicated to this endeavor, with the relentless pursuit of creating a home worthy of lasting memories.
The McCallister family stayed onsite in a camper during this process.
Amidst vibrant interior hues and the warmth of knotty alder wood doors, every detail bears the mark of love and dedication, from the carefully crafted nail holes to the handprints in the porch’s concrete.

Exterior
The exterior of the house boasts a welcoming covered front porch, spanning 560 square feet and stretching 10 x 56 feet in dimensions, all complemented by the convenience of an attached 2-car garage.
At the back of the house, there are exciting plans in the works, including the addition of a porch and a dedicated grilling area, perfect for outdoor gatherings and relaxation.
Living Area
The living area features plush carpeting, a beautifully clear-coated wood ceiling treated with three coats of finish, a spacious sectional sofa, and large dual windows that flood the space with natural light.
Kitchen
The kitchen is a haven of functionality with its plentiful hickory cabinets, tiled backsplash, and stainless steel appliances.
A wooden ceiling lends a touch of rustic charm, while a large window over the sink brings in natural light and a lovely view. To complete the space, there’s plenty of room for a dining table.
Bedrooms
The master bedroom is cozily carpeted and adorned with warm tones, creating a soothing ambiance. It offers the convenience of two closets, providing ample storage space for belongings.
A single window brightens the pink bedroom with natural light.
This bedroom offers both comfort and functionality with its ample single closet and cozy carpeted flooring.
This bedroom is arranged in a similar fashion, providing a familiar layout for convenience.
It offers practicality and comfort just like the first bedroom.
Bathrooms
The master bathroom exudes a rich ambiance with its dark burgundy painted walls, creating a cozy and luxurious atmosphere.
It boasts a spacious layout, featuring a relaxing soaker tub, a convenient standing shower, a vanity complete with a mirror, and flooring sourced from Home Depot.
The second bathroom continues the theme with the same flooring, offering a cohesive look throughout the home.
It features a full shower and tub combination, a vanity for convenience, and soothing green-painted walls, creating a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere.
Laundry Room
The large laundry room boasts a convenient array of features, including shelving, matching flooring, cabinets, and a closet.
Notably, these cabinets were originally intended for the kitchen but ended up here due to a mix-up with the cabinet order.
Two of them turned out to be the wrong size for the kitchen, so they found a new purpose in the utility room while the correct ones were reordered for the kitchen.
Floor Plan
The McCallister family’s home was a labor of love, created without a predefined floor plan.
They sketched out their vision and built from there, resulting in a unique and personalized layout that perfectly suited their needs and desires.
