Barndominium Blog - BarndominiumZONE.com

Barndominiums are sweeping the nation as the new trend for home design. These home kits typically start out as structural steel kits or as pole barns. You then convert that building into a home with whatever materials and amenities you want. While they offer great cost efficiency, and typically average about 30% cheaper than a traditional home build, they also offer a great deal in terms of customization, design freedom, and practicality. For example, metal building exteriors are virtually maintenance-free, although you may occasionally want to clean the paint. However, with no need for interior supporting walls, you get all the freedom to do whatever you want with the interior – from laid back and cozy to impressive with cathedral ceilings. Of course, to get started, you'll need a barndominium builder. Luckily, there are plenty of options in and across Nebraska. The following includes 12 of the best in the state.
